How I organize my life with Wunderlist

Sometimes I have so many things to do that I forget what it was that I’m supposed to do. I’ll finish up one thing and then have no idea what else I’m supposed to do. That usually doesn’t end well because I end up doing things that don’t have a high priority and forgetting the tasks that do have a deadline.

If I don’t write down what it is that I need to do I will constantly feel like I’m forgetting something. Or even worse I’ll remember at the most random times that I still have to buy a gift for an upcoming birthday.

I really need to write or I’ll end up forgetting it. I remember once my eldest was supposed to take a shoebox to school with him. We got to the school and he saw all the kids carrying an empty shoebox. I had to explain him that his mom totally forgot that today was the day they’re supposed to bring it. He understood, but the disappointment in his eyes was heartbreaking.

The KonMari method: is it for everybody?

Marie Kondo is a Japanese organization consultant. She’s written books on organizing, but the most popular is “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up” (https://amzn.to/2IfHy67).  

In short, her method is different in that she suggests to declutter by category rather than by room and to focus on what you want to keep rather than what you want to discard.
Since January she’s also got a series on Netflix where you can see her perform her magic on practice. She helps different types of families (old, young, with kids, without kids) taking charge of their clutter problem.
It sounds very amazing, but I don’t really believe in a one-size-fits-all method. It depends on your taste, motivation, etc. That’s why I wanted to tell you about the pros and cons of this method.
